Polymer Nanocomposites

In the last 20 years, there has been a strong emphasis on development of polymer nanocomposites, where at least one dimensions filler material is order nanometer. Polymer nanocomposites are fundamentally different from traditional filled polymers because immense internal interfacial area and nanoscopic nature nanomaterials. The new multifunctional properties derived nano-structure provide an opportunity to circumvent associated with composites. Numerous examples can be found in literature that show significant improvements this class materials now being introduced structural applications, such as gas barrier film, flame retardant product, other load-bearing applications. This review offers comprehensive basic concept, technology application for nanocomposites.
